Shoranur is an important railway and road junction as here the rails and roads from north, east and south meet – which makes traveling to and fro very easy. From Shoranur railway station to our place it’s an 8 km drive. Shoranur lies in the very heart of Kerala where the north and south of Kerala meet, in the only gap the mountain range of the western ghats grant along their range from Maharashtra to Cape Camorin, in Palghat District. 100km northeast from Cochin/Ernakulam, 100 km southeast from Calicut (Kozhikode), 35 km from Trichur (Thrissur), 50 km west from Palghat. The shortest distance to the see is around 40 km, up to the mountaintops it’s 80km. |
